Sub-processors

These are the companies that process personal data for Matheia. Where Matheia handles a tutor's or organization's student records on their behalf, they are our sub-processors under the Data Processing Agreement; for data Matheia controls itself, they are the recipients named in the Privacy Policy.
Some are used only when a feature is switched on — for example, the AI provider receives nothing unless a tutor or organization has switched AI recaps on and a tutor asks for a draft.
Stripe
- Purpose
- Payments, refunds and payouts to tutors and organizations.
- Data
- Payer and provider names and email addresses, payment amounts and status. Card details go to Stripe directly and never reach Matheia.
- Location

FakturaXL
- Purpose
- Issuing invoices, where a tutor or organization switches invoicing on.
- Data
- The buyer's name, address and tax details, and what was invoiced.

- Processed within the EEA.
- Purpose
- Calendar and Drive integration, only where you or your students connect them.
- Data
- Lesson titles and times, participants' email addresses, files you choose to share.

Cloudflare (R2)
- Purpose
- Storing lesson files, materials and attachments.
- Data
- Uploaded files, encrypted by Matheia before they are stored.

OpenAI
- Purpose
- Drafting lesson recaps (AI recaps), only where a tutor or organization has switched them on and a tutor asks for a draft.
- Data
- The lesson files the tutor selects, the lesson's plan and notes, its tasks and the tutor's own notes. Students' names are replaced in all of the text; a name written inside a file itself (a photo or a PDF) is sent as it is. Not used to train models; kept by the provider for at most 30 days to detect abuse, then deleted. When a tutor records a voice note, its audio is sent to be transcribed and is not kept by Matheia.

SeoHost
- Purpose
- Hosting the servers and database that run Matheia, and delivering its emails.
- Data
- All data held on the platform, including the emails it sends.

Changes to this list
Before we add or replace a sub-processor, we update this page and email tutors and organization owners at least 30 days in advance. If you have a reasonable data-protection objection, write to help@matheia.com before the change takes effect. If we cannot resolve it, you may stop using the affected feature or end your agreement with us before then.
